Cunning and sinister Blood Demon Queen,
Alice was born in the era of strife long ago. As an illegitimate daughter, she suffered humiliation since she was a child, bewitched by the demons. Alice provoked disputes within the family, eventually taking control of the entire family and leading all of its members to betray the Lord of Light. But their betrayal triggered a divine punishment and turned him into blood demons. As a result, Alice led them to join the Abyss and they had fought for the darkness ever since.
At the beginning of the Era of Strife, human beings were just a new and weak race on the Land of Dawn. They worked in all corners of the world and created their own history.
They are both good and evil; they can sacrifice their lives for justice, but also betray their compatriots for their own selfish desires; they themselves are a combination of light and darkness. The huge potential contained in human beings was discovered by the light and dark factions. In order to compete for humans' faith, the Endless War broke out for the second time.
After more than a century of development, while Brun was serving as the patriarch of the Antalus family, they became one of the most powerful and prosperous families in all mankind.
Alice is Brun's youngest daughter, but compared with her two distinguished elder brothers, little Alice appears insignificant. Her identity as an illegitimate daughter blindfolded her and she was never valued by the family.
Alice gradually grew up in this malicious environment. She hated everyone around her, hated this unfair destiny, hated the "hypocritical gods" the family believed in, and the darkness continued to spread in her heart.
One day, soldiers returning from the battlefield vied for spoils and divided them as usual. Alice stood in a corner not far away, staring at them coldly.
"Why do you bring back junk like this? It really gets in the way." Someone said as they threw a bead to the ground. Alice looked toward the bead, but unexpectedly, this bead, which seemed to be dim and dull to the others, burst into a breathtaking rose-colored light in Alice's eyes. It rolled slowly to Alice's feet, and the moment she touched it with her hand, a demon's voice flooded her mind.
"Offer your soul, my dear Alice. Accept our power and you will get everything you want."
"If I get what I want, what do you want from me?"
"It's very simple. All I need is the faith of your family. Abandon the King of Light and plunge into the embrace of the Abyss."
Faith was not a big issue for Alice, but she remembered the vow that she would utter every time she offered a sacrifice: the never-extinguishing holy light will punish all betrayers. No one knew what the punishment was. Just as Alice was hesitating, Alice's brother Simon found her in the corner. He came to Alice and pushed her down fiercely, saying: "It’s you, you superfluous person… What are you doing here?"
Seeing that Alice was not going to answer, he snatched the bead she was holding tightly in her hand. Alice tried to snatch it back, but he kicked her into the air, "A bastard is just a bastard, but a broken bead can be regarded as a treasure." He glanced back at Alice, who had fallen to the ground and was not getting up, he snorted coldly, and continued, "You're just like this bead – superfluous junk."
He flung the bead forcefully at Alice's lower abdomen. The pain caused Alice to let out a blood-curdling scream. The disturbance from the corner attracted the attention of others around. Laughter filled the room for a while, and Alice felt out of breath.
When the crowd dispersed, all the built up humiliation and frustration broke out at this moment. Alice clutched her stomach and stood up with difficulty. She said to the demon: "If I succeed, will you give me enough power to take all lives?"
"Of course, my dear Alice."
"Okay, then I promise you."
"That's more like it, hahahaha..."
A scorching energy burned a black mark on the back of Alice's hand, and then disappeared. She put away the bead and left quietly.
Brun was old, but the heir of the Antalus family was not yet elected. Of his two sons, the younger Simon was the one he favored, much to the chagrin of his eldest son Colin. Alice knew that this was her best way in.
Alice secretly provoked animosity between the two brothers, and used this to divide all the tribesmen into two parties who kept fighting. During this time, Alice always stayed by Brun's side, playing the role of a good daughter while at the same time hinting to Brun in a roundabout way that his two sons wanted to kill him and take his place as tribal patriarch.
Without too much effort from Alice, the ridiculous family bond between a father and his two sons was torn to pieces in a power struggle. As the gap between them deepened, a tragedy finally befell them: Colin hatched a plot that killed Simon, and Brun executed Colin under the bewitching influence of Alice.
After Colin's death, Brun fell ill, and Alice assumed the responsibility of the patriarch. At this time, the family was ruined, and all the allies who had been following them betrayed them one by one. On the one hand, Alice took care of Brun, and on the other hand, she used a strong hand to cheer up the family and gained the support and trust of the tribe. Seeing the time was right, she quietly killed Brun by poisoning him.
At the funeral, those of the Antalus family realized that the family had fought for the light for generations, but the light had never blessed them. Nowadays, allies left one after the other, not caring one bit for the friendships of the past. They felt angry but helpless about this. Incited by Alice, the tribesmen came to the altar, threw the holy objects to the ground in a rage, and gave feedback to the King of Light using their own actions.
At the moment when the sacred object was destroyed, a dazzling light fell from the sky above the altar, piercing into the bodies of all the tribespeople including Alice. As they wailed, pitch black wings mixed with blood broke out of their bodies, and sharp fangs grew out of their mouths. This was the punishment mentioned in the oath, the curse that will never be eliminated. From then on, they became monsters who would never see the sun again. They could only survive relying on the blood of other races.
After the light faded, countless blood-stained demonic hands stretched out from the ground. By touching them, the Antalus family members were given the reward called "Eternal Life" by the Abyss. Alice also received the demon’s reward at this time – gaining enough power to take away all lives.
When everything faded, they realized they had fallen into the gap between light and darkness and would no longer be accepted by the world. Under the guidance of the demon, Alice led her tribe to profess their faith in the Lord of the Abyss. After that, the Antalus family disappeared from the world forever. In the faction of the demons, there was an additional race called the Blood Demons. Under the leadership of Queen Alice, they wandered in the darkness and became the most loyal servants of the Abyss.

Killer from the Dark Elf tribe who is fighting to rescue her sister Selena,
Karina is the best killer among the Dark Elves who lived codependently with her younger sister Selena. But as the older sister, Karina failed to prevent Selena from dedicating herself to the Abyss. In order to stop her sister's evil deeds, and to find a way to bring her back, Karina embarked on a new journey.
Lore
Karina could barely stop herself from shaking as she stared at Selena before her, a woman now almost unrecognizable. Rage, regret, desperation… A thousand different emotions flooded within her. Yet she knew that what mattered is that, right now, her little sister was standing against her like this. She’d never even imagined this could happen.
Karina had once staunchly believed herself capable of protecting her sister, Selena. They had always been inseparable, depending on each other for as long as she could remember: elegant and mild young Elves that bounded throughout the lush forests. Yet with the spread of the Abyss’ corruption, the Shadow Swamp they called home was tainted and fell to its evil; all Elves who remained were similarly corrupted as they became Dark Elves in servitude of the Abyss.
Dark Elves are of special significance to the demons, owning to the fact that they retain their ancient Elven powers despite having been forced into submission by the Abyss. The Lord of the Abyss seeks them out with great avarice, determined to use the Dark Elves as the stepping stones that pave his way to devour this world whole. From this, nobody can escape.
Karina Was trained to become a cold-hearted assassin from a very young age. As such she has no qualms in using all means necessary to achieve her goals, unfazed even if her target is a woman or a child.
But Karina, this coldblooded killer, always treated her Selena with the greatest warmth and love.
In order to keep Selena safe, Karina requested of their clan’s leader that she be kept in the dark about her profession so as to never get involved in the slaughter and killing. While Selena knew nothing of her older sister’s affairs, Karina considered her the only comfort in her life otherwise full of murder and violence. Selena was a symbol to her that she could always return home, to be with her sister.
Karina knew very well that, were they to descend into the battles of light versus darkness in the Endless War, chaos could be right around the corner. Their lives would be hanging by a thread. She was left by no choice, but at least she could still protect her little sister.
Under Karina’s protection, Selena was distanced from all the killing and conspiracy. What Karina could never have expected, however, was for the barriers she’d erected around her sister to steadily erode as she grew older. And the reason that her defenses were failing came not from the outside world, but from Karina herself.
As Selena grew older, she became attuned to the fact that something was not quite right about her sister. Sometimes Karina would leave home suddenly, not to return for a long time – and when she did, more often than not she’d be injured form head to toe. Selena, never knew how her sister would gain such wounds, and it plagued her with a deep uneasiness.
This time, Karina had returned home battered and beaten once more. Even in the face of her anxious sister, she wouldn’t speak a word on it. Not long after her wounds had healed, Karina was already making preparations to leave again, but now Selena stood in her way. She didn’t know what it was her sister was heading out to do, but Selena knew that if she let her go again, she could lose her beloved sister forever.
Karina disregarded her left anyway, however. She knew that this was a burden she must bear alone. Watching as her sister disappeared into the distance, Selena swore to herself: no more would she just wait at home like a naive child.
Selena cautiously tailed Karina, who soon caught on that she was being followed sought to shake her off her trail. Yet as they left the Shadow Swamp, Selena was suddenly attacked by a dark figure; Karina had to make a move and save her sister from her predicament.
It was the first time Selena had ever seen her older sister in battle. Watching as Karina crushed the enemy, Selena felt relieved but also came to a realization: she and her sister lived in two very different worlds. Worlds that were far, far apart.
Selena sought to become powerful, and so went to looking for their clan’s leader. This was to be the start of Karina’s nightmare. The leader had long ago fallen into the clutches of the Abyss’ corruption, and instead of giving Selena guidance, he led her to be a sacrifice to the Abyss, setting the young girl hungry for power on a tragic path.
By the Karina had rushed over, Selena had changed beyond all recognition. The young girl was suspended loft, a thick malice pervading the air all around.
Selena's naivety had led her to sacrifice herself to the Abyss. The Lord of the Abyss stole away all her sense of self, warped her wishes to protect Karina, and transformed her into a tool of world destruction.
Selena could no longer hear the desperate cries of her sister, Karina had no choice but to cross swords with her, to return her sister snatched by the Abyss. Never had Karina imagined that the combat skills she’d slaved to perfect would have to be used against her younger sister, nor that Selena would unleash such an explosive power against her sister.
Karina failed. Facing defeat at the hands of the sister so familiar, yet now so strange to her, she was left with no choice but to leave as her heart panged with regret.
With that, Karina left the Shadow Swamp to roam the Land of Despair. She was reborn from darkness, laying full fury of her vengeance upon the Abyss and demons that had taken her dear sister. She swore that she would make them pay.
All the while, she held on to that belief: that, one day, she would finally be able to take Selena home again.

A swordsman in pursuit of invincibility, used by Laboratory 1718,
Once called Duan Meng and obsessed with kendo, Saber came to Laboratory 1718 to transform himself in order to pursue perfection, but his memory was erased and he was turned into a killing machine. The torture of his memories drove him to finally destroy the laboratory and set off searching for the past.
Deep in the northern mountains of the Cadia Riverlands lies a quiet and peaceful village. This village is home to the legendary Tianyin Swordmaster Sect, and is also the place where Duan Meng spent his childhood perfecting his technique.
As soon as he was old enough to pick up a bamboo sword, Duan Meng was determined to become a great swordmaster. While everyone else was still sleeping, he would already be practicing hard, and would continue until the sun set and the moon was clear and bright.
He knew that the requirements for entering the Tianyin Swordmaster Sect were high, and so, after countless days and nights of training in the wind, rain, and snow, the gates of the sacred temple finally opened to Duan Meng. Soon, his extraordinary talent and obsession with swordsmanship attracted the attention of the leader, Master Longma, who was once a disciple of the Great Dragon and the spiritual leader of the Tianyin Swordmaster Sect. Under the guidance of Master Longma, Duan Meng soon exceled among his peers and became the leader of the new generation of students.
Over time, Duan Meng grew tired of the stoic life of personal cultivation in the mountains. His obsession with swordsmanship and his innate ambition made him eager to challenge stronger enemies so that he could create his own legend and spread it throughout the world like the legendary swordsmen that inspired his personal journey. However, Master Longma denied his request to descend the mountain.
"It is not time yet. You have not yet become a truly invincible swordsman." The young and vivacious Duan Meng refused to go along with his master's point of view. He was confident enough in his own ability and hoped to improve his swordsmanship through constant combat alone.
In the following years, Duan Meng traveled all over the Cadia Riverlands, defeating one swordsman after another, including the adherents of the Dragon Altar. He kept climbing toward the title of "The Best Swordsman" without a single defeat.
This was until Duan Meng ran into a man who would become his ultimate rival, Zhixu. This man came from nowhere and had no teacher. His life was like that of a sword, perfectly formed and complete within itself.
In their battle, Duan Meng was defeated, utterly unable to even fight back. In order to one day defeat Zhixu, Duan Meng isolated himself in the mountains and threw himself into a painstaking training regimen for three long years.
At the end of these three years, Duan Meng felt ready to fight Zhixu again, and emerged from the mountains. But as fate would have it, his opponent had made even greater progress in these three years. He was defeated again, and his sword was even slashed in half by his opponent.
Duan Meng's repeated failure reminded him of his master's words: "It is not time yet. You have not yet become a truly invincible swordsman." However, Duan Meng knew that he had already done everything he could, and there was no way for the sword in his hand to become any faster or stronger.
In order to seek out a truly invincible swordsmanship style, Duan Meng left the confines of the Cadia Riverlands and journeyed throughout the Land of Dawn. During his travels, he overheard rumors regarding Laboratory 1718―that they could stimulate the potential of the human body through artificial transformation, granting one more power. Duan Meng could not resist inquiring further. If this rumor were true, he might still stand a chance of reaching the very peak of swordsmanship. As long as he could become stronger, he was willing to do anything.
At this time, the evil scientists of Laboratory 1718 were also interested in this swordsman from the East. They were preparing a new augmentation project to create a human weapon. As soon as the two parties came to an agreement, an unprecedented transformation began.
After numerous experiments and operations, the project was finally successful, and a being with mechanical strength and human sword skills and sentience was born. But after waking up, Duan Meng had forgotten everything about himself, including his own name. He was then given a new code name by his creator: Saber. The sword of Laboratory 1718, Saber became a tool used for hunting down those stood against them.
Of course, this was all part of Laboratory 1718's plan. They intended on luring just the right person to help complete their human weapon plan. Once the transformation had been completed, Duan Meng, who once dreamt of reaching the very height of swordsmanship, no longer existed. Instead, the ruthless mechanical killer, Saber, was born.
Though his creators were convinced they had achieved great success, as time went by, the familiar moves, the feeling of holding his sword in his hands, kill after kill, day after day—something began to stir within Saber. As a warrior, he could not accept being reduced to the status of a mere killing machine, and could feel the memories buried deep in his mind fighting to be remembered once more. He began to question his own past and the meaning of his existence.
Late one night, tormented by shards of his memories, Saber severed the neural control implant in his head, destroyed the humanoid weapon project laboratory, and embarked on the long and lonely road of exile.
In the years that followed, Laboratory 1718 never gave up their pursuit of what they saw as a failed product. Through the constant fighting and wandering that followed, Saber was determined to rediscover his name and origin. The fragments of his memory constantly bubbled to the surface, guiding him to slowly find his past. There was one thing he was certain of - he knew he had not yet become a truly invincible swordsman, and that he still had a destined opponent awaiting his next challenge.

A funny and witted little witch,
A descendant of the great magician of the Magic Academy and known as the "Little Witch". Though at a young age, she has mastered the techniques to control little creature "Gloom".
Hundreds of years ago, when Magic reigned high, in the Land of Dawn, Dark Mages were important precursors of the creation of the Magic Academy. However, there had always been a big gap between them and White Magic. They had completely different opinions on magic ideas.
The core of all this disputes was that Dark Magic possessed a mysterious power known as Alien Space Summoning. This magic could create a portal to the unknown worlds, bringing alien monsters to the Land of Dawn. It was destructive and unpredictable, and also a great threat to the human world. The White Mages had always opposed Summoning experiments. Yet, the Dark Mages turned a deaf ear to it. Finally, this dangerous magic went wrong during a summoning, causing a disturbance at the Magic Academy. The incident, ended with the death of a high rank, White Magician.
This triggered strong resentfulness of the White magicians and after, the Senate ruling, the Dark Magicians assumed full responsibility. They were permanently banished to the west of the Land. This decision, also led to the end of Dark Magic. The esoteric Alien Space Summoning was also permanently banned and the Magic Academy was under control of White Magic.
Even after the end of this incident, which people called the Rift War, there still remained a crisis, hidden deep within the Land of Dawn. The remaining Void Monsters were appearing everywhere and they kept looking for food to live on, especially Magical Powers and this time, they got close to the Magic Academy.
At that time there was a young girl named, Lylia, who was one of the most gifted and top students of the Magic Academy, also happened to be the naughtiest girl. She also believed in Dark Magic and was the sole successor of Alien Space Summoning. She always used her powerful, but dark magic to prove that she was right. She bought horrors, rather than surprises to everyone, most of the time. Naturally, she was misunderstood by others, mainly because of her unusual characteristics and also, since she was a Black Wizard and the favourite Magic genius of the Magic Academy, the idol of apprentices. This also explains, why Lylia was hated and isolated by all her friends, why she was exiled along with other Dark Magician and also, why everyone called Lylia the "Little Witch". Overnight, she lost everything and turned to being a loner.
Recently, however, there had been signs of Void Monsters in the Magic Academy. The magicians and Professors there, did their best to catch or at least, stop these strange creatures. Lylia had managed to capture one of the most special ones among these creatures. She not only felt his power, but also found out how cute he was. The Void Monsters were fond of Black Magic. After all, it was with the summoning of powerful black magic, that they were created.
Lylia gave her new found pet, a name - Gloom. She considered him to be her friend, most likely, the only friend Lylia ever had, and wanted to introduce him to everyone in the Magic Academy. But, no one believed that Lylia could have tamed such a threatening creature all by herself. They began to question and even taunt Lylia. Gloom felt that his master was being provoked, and started attacking the magicians of the Academy. Some magicians were shocked to see Gloom's power, which was in fact, far greater than that of most void monsters. They thought this was one of Lylia's schemes, to destroy the Magic Academy. They decided to capture Lylia by force and also, eliminate Gloom.
No matter what Lylia did, she couldn't stop those magicians from attacking Gloom. More magicians gathered together, to fight Lylia, as she tried to protect Gloom, and this made Gloom very angry. With the help of Lylia's dark magic, he summoned a portal to the outer world and called out many other Void Monsters to fight alongside him. Everything went out of control, as the void monsters started wrecking up the Magic Academy. A fierce battle followed, and many of those magicians were badly hurt. As a mentor and professor, Eudora summoned her lightning powers and tried her best to resist these Void Monsters, but nothing much happened. She and the other magic professors of the academy were surprised as to how these monsters had gone so vicious.
Lylia, however, enjoyed the vibe, as she felt, she was having a thrilling and fun time, commanding around the void monsters and running everything like she was in charge. That's when Eudora realised that this was the powerful, ancient Alien Space Summoning magic and that, there was much more crisis to face. She warned the other professors of this invasion and along with the remaining magicians, tried fending off the monsters. However, the monsters regrouped, as a huge wave of new ones appeared from the rift, and launched an attack on Eudora. Even though, Lylia wanted everyone to suffer for distrusting her and treating her poorly, she realised what she was doing was absolutely wrong. As the monsters charged onward to devour Eudora and the rest of the Magic Academy, in a hurry, Lylia dived, in front of Eudora and used her Black Power to seal those monsters into Gloom. Lylia managed to save Eudora's life. Since then, Eudora found out, that despite how indifferent Lylia was, she was much more brave and powerful with magic. She also knew that Lylia's understanding of Dark Magic was superior to others, and realized that good and evil was determined by those who wield the magic, and not the nature of the magic itself.

A quick-witted apprentice of magic.
Legends say that an ancient race of elves reside in the Land of Dawn's Enchanted Forest. The stories often depict this cat-like race as small in stature, agile, playful, independent, and highly intelligent. However, few are aware of the longstanding alliance between the Leonin Elves and the Moon Elves.
From a young age, Harith surpassed his peers in talent and wisdom. He quickly became the strongest mage among the Leonins, perhaps as strong as other in the Land of Dawn. Although, the Leonins never step foot outside of the Enchanted Forest, living a peaceful and safe life on their own. The Leonins became so complacent with their blissful existence that they no longer pursed the magic arts, a hallmark of their people. Harith became very discontent with this trend and confidently set out of the Enchanted Forest to see the outside world at the young age of 15. Harith was driven by his and passion for the magic arts, aspiring to become his people's leader in magic.
Harith arrived the Land of Dawn's capital, where he joined armies to fight off the invading orc tribes. Proving himself in battle, Harith gained the recognition of Tigreal, who came to appreciate Harith's lovely spirit and strong abilities. People say, Harith was given the rank of lieutenant and will soon be appointed as an Imperial Master of Magic of the Moniyan Empire. With that said, Harith has imperial authorization to use magic to control space and time to unlock the Secrets of Dawn to seal away evil and protect justice.
Full of excitement and fervor, Harith also knew that once he is appointed the title of Master of Magic that he will become a target of public criticism. Committed to his dream of becoming his people's leader in magic, Harith fearlessly marched forward alone. Over time, Harith discovered that his life was consumed by his mission and by the empire. Harith slowly grew lonely and reclusive. Even when he met his fellow Leonin, Nana, he was unable to maintain a normal conversation. Despite Nana showing signs of affection towards him, he could not express his feelings, believing that the best way to protect her from criticism was for him be alone. After all, whenever the empire needed magical assistance, the Master of Magic was on the job to seal away the dangers of evil.

Crow Princess of Askati Forest.
As princess of the Crow Clan of Askati Forest, she was born with mutated blood. The mutation could gain her amazing abilities if she is awakened. When Alice invaded Askati Forest, the awakened Pharsa drove Alice away and lost her eyesight. After that, her lover turned himself into a crow to replace her eyes.
Bio
The Crow people of Askati Forest are one of the oldest races to still exist in the Land of Dawn. This race was united by the Crow King, Osana, under whose venerable leadership they perfected the art of Sky Magic. This unique school of magic allows its wielder to transform into a bird, soar across the skies, and grants the ability to strike from enormous distances, however, only those who have had their blood "awakened" can use it.
The noble Princess Pharsa was born with an unknown type of blood which was said to hold enormous potential if awakened, but as hard as they tried, the baffled people of her tribe failed to unleash its true power. Soon enough, Pharsa’s special blood became a burden, as ill-intentioned opportunists from across the land sought to reap it for their own benefit. On the day of Pharsa’s wedding, the tyrannical witch, Alice invaded the Askati Forest, mercilessly slaying countless Crows and leaving a smoldering trail of ruin in her wake. Numbed to the core by the carnage surrounding her, Pharsa dropped Osana's ancient crown to the floor. Her appearance began to change, as unprecedented power coursed through her veins—her blood had been awakened. Pharsa’s eyes clouded over, as one side of her hair turned pure white, and she soared into the sky to unleash a torrential assault of horrifying magical power, fierce enough to drive Alice away.
Verri, the love of her life, couldn’t bear to see his betrothed suffer a life of blindness alone, and chose to accompany Pharsa wherever she went, utilizing his own magic to become permanently linked to Pharsa, and allowing her to see through his eyes. Pharsa wishes her power had never been awakened, she wishes even more that her home had not been destroyed, but that witch took everything from her, and now it was time for revenge...

Upon the Cadia Riverlands, there exists a mysterious profession called Onmyouji Master that uses the yin yang arts to control spirits and see into the future. The Great Dragon bestowed this special power to channel yin and yang on people of the Cadia Riverlands, and one of his own disciples became the first-ever Onmyouji Master.
There was once an Onmyouji Master named Seimei, so powerful that he could control spirits and even bring the dead back to life. Many legends were told about him: some said he followed the Great Dragon to the Dragon Altar and learned the greatest yin yang arts, some said he once assisted the first Akakage in sealing the demonic Hanekage, and some even said he'd lived to this day with secret yin yang arts...
To Seimei's descendants, the most precious legacy from their great ancestor is the Seimei Umbrella that can transform into different shapes. The umbrella was refined by the great Seimei himself using power from a hundred ghosts. It is believed that it now possesses life and wisdom of its own, allowing it to choose its own rightful owner.
For years, the Seimei Umbrella lay quietly inside the shrine. Every year at the memorial for Seimei, people would sincerely pray to it on their knees, wishing for better mastery of the yin yang arts. But centuries passed, and the Seimei Umbrella never once showed any miracle.
Everything was changed when Kagura the descendant of Seimei, stepped into the shrine to pray for the first time.
Before the ceremony started, the naughty orphan girl secretly climbed up a tree outside the shrine to sneak a peek at the altar inside.
When half way up on the tree, she was spotted by a boy a little older than her. The boy named Hayabusa was the son of the Shadow Supreme Grandmaster from the Scarlet Shadow, here on an invitation with his family. He had no interest in the complicated ritual either and happened to see Kagura climbing up the tree when looking around out of boredom. Before Kagura could cheer for finally climbing up to the top, the grown-ups on the ground had spotted her and each began scolding her for possibly angering the great ancestor. But the little girl refused to admit her fault and argued that she only climbed the tree because she heard somebody calling out for her over at the altar.
As their arguments got heated, filled with indignation, Kagura slipped and fell head down first off the tree! Hayabusa immediately rushed to the tree trunk with his ninjutsu and leapt up to hold her by her waist. At the very moment, a large umbrella bloomed above Kagura and Hayabusa, and the two kids reached out to the handle at once, safely landing like a floating dandelion tuft.
"I-It's the Seimei Umbrella!"
"A miracle from the Seimei Umbrella!"
The crowd exclaimed in surprise, while Kagura stared at the big umbrella in her hand and smiled: "So, it was you who were calling for me..."
The Seimei Umbrella kept Kagura's company from then on. It witnessed every trouble she'd ever caused, experienced all her joy, sadness and anger as she gradually grew up, and understood her feelings for Hayabusa which changed from friendship to secret affection...
When Kagura dressed up to attend Hayabusa's coming-of-age ceremony, she accidentally heard their seniors talking and realized why Hayabusa became distant recently—"Is he going to leave the Cadia Riverlands, and also to leave me?"
"So, what should I do?"
Holding back her tears, Kagura stared at the evening rain outside her window, when the Seimei Umbrella had already flown out and opened on its own. "Right, the Seimei Umbrella is right—I'll find him and follow him to the ends of the world!"
Kagura sneaked out of her house and ran toward Hayabusa in the pouring rain. It could be the biggest trouble she'd ever caused, but it'd also be the biggest bet she'd ever placed.
Thunder roared and lightning flashed along the long road. But Kagura didn't care, because she could go on an adventure with Hayabusa, and with the Seimei Umbrella!
On the street of the Scarlet Shadow, Kagura stopped Hayabusa just after he left home and said: "Hayabusa, I'll go with you!"
As Hayabusa's name left her mouth, the young girl that needed the big brother's help was no more. Whether the oblivious Hayabusa had realized it or not, Kagura had become an all-new person to travel the world with him...

Innocent princess that grew up in the Swan Castle and genius mage that excels in sword and scepter.
As the daughter of Prince Alvin, Princess Odette was a romantic that seemed a well-behaved, obedient lady but actually yearned for adventures instead. After she became acquainted with Lancelot and rescued him in a duel ruckus, Odette slowly became aware of her own feelings towards Lancelot. Finally, she made the decision to leave the Swan Castle and set out on an adventure in search of her loved one.
Lore
The Swan Castle located near the Azure Lake was the fief of Prince Alvin of the Moniyan Empire. The first liege of this land—Prince Alvin I was a desperately romantic crown prince. To marry a woman of humble birth, he resigned and gave up the throne to his brother—Sirius IV, leaving the Lumina City and settling down in the countryside now known as the Swan Castle.
House Alvin and their romanticism were then passed down through generations. Prince Alvin II also assumed his royal title at a young age—his brother and the eldest son of Prince Alvin I focused on religious endeavors and later became the archbishop of the Church of Light. Princess Odette was the [third-generation] scion of the family, and this elegant, lovable Swan Princess's love story perfectly attested to the romantic nature of House Alvin's descendants.
Owning right to the throne, Prince Alvin and his family understood the tricky situation they were in and rarely got involved in domestic politics or had much contact with the other nobles. Since childhood, Odette had been leading a peaceful, tranquil life within the Swan Castle, without ever setting foot out of their territory. But the seemingly quiet girl had been filled with curiosity and longing for the outside world.
By the time she reached adolescence, she worked up the courage to conceal herself under a mantle and sneak out to visit the market nearby without her parents' permission. The naive princess once tried to pay for bread with a whole bag of gold coins and offered a beggar all the jewelry she had on her after hearing his routine tear-jerking story, but these little delinquencies just outside her home were enough for Odette to feel adventurous.
But eventually her adventures brought her trouble—this clueless young princess only learned what powerless felt like when she was harassed by a few thugs in a tavern... Thankfully in a drunken stupor, Lancelot drew his sword and drove those men away. But Odette felt at a loss of what to do seeing her rescuer get injured and fall on the ground, her eyes brimming with tears. So, she made a decision that went against her family rules—to bring the unconscious Lancelot back to the Swan Castle.
In a room atop their castle tower, Odette dressed Lancelot's wound and casted her family's healing spell with a scepter to treat him with the help of a young maid. She spent the whole day and night watching over Lancelot who was on the verge of death, and only let out a sigh of relief and smiled wearily when the man finally opened his eyes again…
For the following days, Odette hid Lancelot inside the Swan Castle so that he could recover, and she would bring food to him every day with the maid and listen to the interesting romantic knight of Castle Gorge as he played the harp and sang songs about the adventures he'd had throughout the land. These songs were fun melodies Odette had never heard as she'd only known royal music, and the lyrics once again piqued her strong curiosity and yearning for the outside world.
Odette's meetings with Lancelot became the greatest fun of her days. As she gradually opened up to this new friend of hers, she would also tell him about her little adventures of rebellious delinquencies and even learned from him a few sword fighting techniques for self[-]defense.
As they bounded over time, Lancelot slowly became reticent and withdrawn. He no longer played those funny songs in praise of the hero Lancelot, and yet often caroled about the love story between a knight and a young maiden, exalting a kind and beautiful princess.
The innocent Odette didn't understand the reason behind his change, until the sneaky maid suddenly asked her in a whisper, "Who do you think Lancelot is playing these songs to, Your Grace?"
The maid's words awoke the blind princess. Odette finally came to realize that someone was subtly courting her!
It was once again the mischievous young maid persuading Odette to not run away or ignore his courtship that the princess had the courage to face Lancelot's feelings. But she still hadn't worked out whether she was also in love with him.
As Lancelot's injury healed with each day, Odette knew that the day of his departure was nearing. Her spirits sank low, and one day a letter delivered by his father disturbed her mind even more—"Duke Baroque was proposing to me on behalf of his son? What an annoying suitor!"
But Odette suddenly came to a realization: wasn't the "romantic knight of Castle Gorge" from House Baroque's fief? So, the duke's son must be...
Despite her heart beating out of her chest, Odette had to feign calmness before her parents. But when she returned to her bedchamber, she couldn't help but giggle to herself and even danced cheerfully with the maid. But unsure how to face Lancelot, Odette realized that she couldn't bring herself to see him now.
But unexpectedly, Lancelot left a letter and went away without a farewell a few days later. Feeling dejected, Odette finally realized how much she'd adored him…
Until one night, having made up her mind, Odette wrote a letter to her parents before quietly leaving the Swan Castle.
She would follow the traces Lancelot left behind and search for the love of her life…

A werewolf wandering in the dark forests longing for revenge
”
Roger was once a human being. During a battle with the werewolf White Fang, he was killed by White Fang's sharp teeth and resurrected as a werewolf. Roger, who had been reborn, vowed to take revenge and eradicate the threat of the werewolves from this world.
Lore
Ignoring the villagers' warnings, Roger decided to settle right by the edge of the Black Forest, a mere few miles east of the Megalith Wastelands. His countless years in the imperial army had made him a man of strong resolve... and perhaps too stubborn for his own good. Regardless, now that his days as a soldier had passed, he was determined to hunt in the dark woodlands and live off of its bounty.
The Black Forest was home to all manners of unsavory vermin. But none was more terrifying than the hundreds of wolves prowling in the shadows. With their new Wolf King, Whitefang, having awakened ancient magic abilities within him, they became even more ferocious. And with the forest running out of prey, the wolves gradually expanded their hunting ranges and began to appear outside the woodlands. Always hunting in packs, they started attacking unwary travelers who dared to pass by.
Hell-bent on keeping this threat at bay. Roger tracked Whitefang's pack. ultimately finding them huddled around a small village. No sooner had he arrived than a guttural howl broke the quiet of the night. sending the pack of wolves in and ravaging everyone in their path.
The village erupted into chaos, with Whitefang himself standing in the middle, about to feast on an injured little girl. With no time to waste, Roger lunged straight at the beast and snatched the girl right out of his clutch. Whitefang snapped back, digging his claws into the hunter's chest as he attempted to deliver the girl to safety.
Undeterred by his wounds, Roger managed to push the vicious horde back, warning Whitefang never to return to the village with the same ferocity as the wolves'. The Wolf King did retreat with his pack, but when he looked back, Roger felt his blood turning ice-cold by the hatred in the wolf's eyes.
Haunted by the dread he felt that day, Roger couldn't stop worrying that Whitefang would come back for revenge. He began to train the surviving villagers in how to fight the wolves, particularly the little girl he rescued, whose name he later learned, was Ruby.
Before long, however, Roger noticed bizarre changes happening to his body. He suspected they were somehow related to the wounds Whitefang gave him. Worried about the safety of the others, the hunter fled the village in secret.
Returning to his home, Roger's suspicions were soon confirmed, as the ancient magic Whitefang carried had begun to infect his own body.
"Even one of a pure heart, one who misses not once his nightly prayers, is helpless to resist the lupine curse when the full moon looms in the night's sky."
The time soon arrived. When the gleam of the full moon illuminated the vast meadows around the Black Forest, Roger could do nothing but look on in horror as his body slowly shifted in shape, turning into a spitting image of Whitefang himself. Fearing that he would hurt those he swore to protect, he had no choice but to leave his home, embarking on a lone journey of his own.

Heir to the ancient Fighter sect, a follower of Yu Zhong
The Fighter attached to the Black Dragon. She was expelled from the Land of Dawn together with the Black Dragon after the Black Dragon failed. With a sense of mission to get freedom and the desire of her family to return to their homeland that had long lost, Luo Yi was determined to inherit her father's will. She would soon find the reincarnated Black Dragon, and possibly rebuild Fighter's glory.
On the border of the Cadia Riverlands and Moniyan Plain, Luo Yi, who often stands on the top of the mountain alone, facing the direction of the Cadia Riverlands, where her hometown is, to keep observing the flow of stars. She is waiting for the change of the stars and the person she has kept waiting for to show up.
Date back to the remote era of strife, the war between light and dark spread all over the Land of Dawn, which created disasters and destroyed people's lives and property wantonly, and many powerful races hence suffered a lot. This made the Great Dragon, who advocated peace, feel pity. Therefore, he and his friend, the Black Dragon, led many new and old races who didn't want to be involved in the war to start an unprecedented migration.
In this dangerous and challenging process, the ignorant human beings became the protagonists of the migration journey and during that, they were divided into two sects because of different ideas. After arriving at the Cadia Riverlands, they acted independently and defiantly. Those who advocated the Great Dragon's ideas of peace and stability became his disciples and focused on improving their inner strength; while those who pursued strength and advocated using force to solve problems became the Black Dragon's fighters.
Under the shield of the Black Dragon, the fighters gained the absolute strength they dreamed of, and became stronger. Then, they started a covert plan of controlling the Cadia Riverlands by force, and overthrow the order established by the Great Dragon, to help the Black Dragon become the ruler of the Cadia Riverlands.
In the following years, the contradiction between the Black Dragon and the Great Dragon became increasingly sharp, and there were also continuous disputes between the fighters and the disciples. In order to stop the coming war, the Great Dragon had to suppress the Black Dragon by force, and took the reverse scale and sealed it in the Forbidden Area of Dragon Soul.
Since the fighters depended on the Black Dragon, they were completely expelled from the Cadia Riverlands and became homeless in the Land of Dawn. However, at the time when the Black Dragon was sealed, he made his will and told it to the fighters: a thousand years later, he will still be reincarnated in this land. At that moment, an earthshaking change will happen in the Cadia Riverlands and the fighters will continue to fulfill their mission.
The fall of the Black Dragon made the fighters feel frustrated heavily. From then on, the fighters disappeared in the Cadia Riverlands, and as time went by, their descendants, who also scattered in all places, chose the ordinary life instead of pursuing power and continuing their mission.
Although the glory of the fighters has gone for a thousand years, there are still few descendants who stick to the mission for generations, and expect the reincarnation of the Black Dragon to rebuild the order. The mage of heaven and earth, Luo Yi, is one of them.
As long as Luo Yi could remember, she listened to the legends that had been forgotten by the world under the strict guidance of her father, including the overweeningly arrogant Black Dragon, strong fighters, the free land of the Cadia Riverlands, and the war that shook the world. She also clearly knew the decline of fighters and the destined reincarnation: the Black Dragon had been reincarnated, and Luo Yi would undertake this long-standing mission. Luo Yi decided to follow her father's will to find the reincarnated Black Dragon and rebuild the sect of fighters, due to her sense of mission established since childhood and the family's generational desire to return home. For this reason, Luo Yi almost walked all over the Land of Dawn to look for the scattered descendants of fighters. However, these people had already been smoothed by the ordinary life during the passing of time. They became numb and cowardly.
Luo Yi was angry with them and decided to look for the reincarnated Black Dragon by herself. The passing of time and every failure strengthened her determination because she believed she would wait for him and return to the hometown under his leadership. Under the guidance of stars, Luo Yi finally found the Black Dragon's reincarnation, Yu Zhong, a disciple traveling around the world.
At that time Yu Zhong knew nothing about the memory of his past life. She felt hard to believe the nervous young man in front her, was the Fierce Black Dragon she was destined to support.
Later, Luo Yi invited Yu Zhong to travel together on the Land of Dawn, hoping to verify her judgment in the process. It was the travel that had a great influence on Yu Zhong's heart. The chaos caused by war and the peaceful Cadia Riverlands formed a sharp contrast, which also made Yu Zhong doubt the world.
At the end of the travel, Luo Yi told Yu Zhong about his past life and the existence of the reverse scale, but Yu Zhong felt hard to believe at that moment. Meanwhile, Luo Yi saw hesitation and uneasiness in his eyes.
"This is not the correct time. You will lose anything, and you will also come to me."
"You are not strong enough now. If you want to be the real Fierce Black Dragon, you must unseal the reverse scale and bear the consequences." After these words, Luo Yi let Yu Zhong leave alone, because she knew Yu Zhong was still so young and immature at that moment. He hadn't put everything down and lost all, so he couldn't break the shackles of the world.
But she firmly believed that Yu Zhong would certainly come back. Because the reverse scale had already rooted in Yu Zhong's heart, and the stubborn Great Dragon would never allow his connection with it. But what she needed to do was to wait quietly and make preparations for Yu Zhong to get back the reverse scale.
She knows that her waiting has finally come to an end when seeing Yu Zhong appear in front of her once again after surviving a disaster. Yu Zhong's immaturity and simplicity have disappeared. He has gained rebirth after experiencing hardship and years of cleansing. The King returns. She quietly looks at him, leading the fighters she gathered for him to kneel on one knee to meet their king.
Since then, Luo Yi has closely connected her life with Yu Zhong. No matter where she is, she is always with Yu Zhong, helping him to gather strength and prepare to make a comeback. Now, what she must do first is to help Yu Zhong get back the reverse scale from the Forbidden Area of Dragon Soul, and fulfill the long-standing mission to complete the Black Dragon's reincarnation.
